you worship
something,
and nine times
out of ten
it will be

  1. Isn't that the truth?! Oh my, I've been preening before a mirror on far too many occasions. I'm finding that aging is a wonderful cure for that habit :) xo

    1. Patricia, I love it! Yes, aging is making me want to avoid mirrors. And no 'selfies' for me!

  2. It is alarming how insidiously and quickly, worship can be diverted away from Our Heavenly Father.

    1. Lora, oh yes indeed. I am becoming more and more aware of how I look toward pleasing self rather than God, when I'd had absolutely no idea that was happening. "Insidious" seems just the right word for it. May Our Lord have mercy on me, and on all His people, and may He heal us.

    1. Aren't they, Monica? Sometimes it doesn't take many words at all... just one little sentence like this one.... to make us stop and think.
