I Run to the Fountain

'O Lord, I run to the spring; I desire the source of the water.
In You is the fountain of life, an inexhaustible source;
in Your light there is a light which will never be darkened...
Seeing this light, my eye grows keener.
Drinking from this fountain,
my inner thirst becomes more acute.
I run to the fountain,
panting for its water.....
I run like a deer...'

    1. I've found a number of "atmospheric" paintings by this artist. And St. Augustine was pretty amazing :) !

  4. 4 am vigils! I'm sure those are particularly awe inspiring. The two monasteries I've retreated at are ones where they do not have that.... they begin their day around 6. But being able to pray in choir stalls with the nuns, all throughout the day, has been such a memorable privilege. Thank you, Colleen!

    1. Thank you, Brenda. On this hot summer day, I'm ready to plunge right into the painting. And even more into the Living Spring. Let's go!
