Already Begun

"You don't know how to pray?
Put yourself in the presence of God,
and as soon as you have said
'Lord, I don't know how to pray!'
you can be sure you have already begun."

  1. Nancy...I just switched to Wordpress when I changed blogs. Still deciding if I like it. Anyway, I have you under blogs I am following in my Wordpress dashboard. I am wondering if you get any notice I am following or do I show up anywhere? I hope so...I try to follow those that inspire me and it would stink if they are not even aware that I am a follower/fan.

  2. What a blessing for me to find yours as the first comment just after I got them "enabled"! What is NOT good is that no, you don't show up anywhere... it's only now that I learn you've been following. I have no computer skills at all, and must rely on one of my grown children (thankfully "on site" here) to get me through. Neither of us knows why you don't show up ANYWHERE. ?? Yep, it does stink. But now I know you're here, and that is WONDERFUL. Thank you for letting me know!

  4. Yahoo!!! Comments ... I can stop by a blab away. Sweet! I've often wondered about WordPress bloggers and the following conundrum. I always let them know if I'm following by RSS feed, or email subscription, because I'm never sure if they know I'm following. Your desertofmyheart friend will need to keep us informed as she becomes WP savvy.

  6. Holly...hi! From what I have found out, Blogger users don't know Wordpress users are following them unless you sign in under a Google account and your pic then shows up under followers. This does not link up to your WP blog though.

As far as Wordpress, I can see if WP users are following and if anyone subscribed (Blogger or WP) but honestly, I don't know if I have any Blogger followers otherwise. On Blogger, you would have to copy and paste my WP address into the manage followers section on the dashboard if you just wanted to follow but not be *subscribed* and get an email. But I still don't think I could view Blogger followers. (Anyone want to try it? haha)

Ugh...so confusing. There is so much I miss about Blogger but I can't fathom switching again.

Then there is the confusion of what ID to use. I will use Google now and then my name and pic will show up as opposed to just *desert of my heart*.

I have to be content where I am right now...hidden in cyber : )

  7. Hi Nancy,
This is a great quote! Perked my heart right up reading these words! I'm glad your comments are turned on:)
I am sooo computer illiterate but I've learned a lot about blogging over the last few years so feel free to e-mail me at any time (e-mail is on my profile).

Speaking of Wordpress, I can only seem to comment using my Facebook profile most of the time. Weird.

  8. Thank you, Mary! And thanks so much for the generous offer of blog help. I REALLY appreciate that.

I would have a tough time if I had to rely on Facebook, as I'm not even on there (now how antiquated is THAT?!)
