From Somewhere Else

'The false optimism, the modern happiness, tires us because it tells us we fit into this world. The true happiness is that we don't fit. We come from somewhere else.'

G.K. Chesterton

  1. My heart caught on the phrase 'modern happiness'....
To be relentlessly happy is very wearing indeed.

  2. The secular deception once again! Love Chesterton and this quote. So good to sit with these thoughts and attempt to practice being in the world but not of it. Thank you for all these great thoughts and paintings. Very inspiring and bright during this cold, cold time....
