Repentance Required

  1. Well now that's a thought to ponder. I think of Jesus saying to His Father to forgive them for they know not what they do ... there was no repentance on their part at that time.

    Perhaps I think of it as a transaction incomplete. Forgiveness has been offered but until someone sees the need for it and receives it, it is incomplete, so the transgression remains outstanding.

    1. Brenda, you summed up my own thoughts in your second paragraph, and I love your phrase "a transaction incomplete." I can even see praying for people to receive the forgiveness God is offering to them - it seems a good direction for prayer.
