Why Pray?

  1. Hello dear Nancy,

I am learning more about prayer lately, and it has made prayer so much more of a blessing for me.

    Hope you are doing well.

  2. I always pray each morning about the "encounters of the day". Yesterday I arrived at a shopping Mall where my lovely step-daughter, Sue, was recruiting volunteers for the local children's hospice - for a lunch time visit. I was attracted by a sign saying "Cats' Protection" and went in. There, because of my always being one to ask questions, I asked the woman in charge if she had been taught Maths by Mrs Brown (my step-daughter's deceased Mother). I later married Sue's dad. She said: "I loved Mrs Brown. She lived across the road from me". This was an old school friend of Sue: I could take her hand and reunite them after over 36 years. It was wonderful to see the amazing joy. I'll keep praying about encounters. You always have such beautiful quotes and pictures.

    1. Wilma, thank you for sharing the story of such a wonderful encounter! It has actually made me think of writing about some of my own encounters... which would probably happen here. In fact, I think I just might repost something from our archives pretty soon, thanks to your inspiration.

      Thanks so much!
